Hamburg: Basic astrology course

Weekend course 2025

As part of the astrological study centre Hamburg School, we held the ninth "Basic Astrology Course"  (in German language).

In the intensive presence course, the astronomical-astrological basics and the resulting references to astrology are taught over a weekend. The aim of the basic course is to impart important learning content that is a prerequisite for successful self-study. The learning content can be expanded with a subsequent online advanced course.

Basic astrology course (classroom course)
Weekend course Friday evening to Sunday early afternoon with 12 hours (2/6/4). The course usually takes place with 3-7 participants. The cost contribution is €291.55 per person (for early enrolment). Training materials are included in the course fee or are provided on loan. If you are also interested in the books published by Witte-Verlag Publ., books can be viewed directly at the course weekend and are available at a study discount.

Registrations
If you are interested in the basic astrology course (in German), we will be happy to add you to our mailing list without obligation. As a rule, we organise the basic course in the middle of the year. Individual scheduling requirements can be catered for with early pre-registration. Pre-registrations that reserve a place on the course are initially non-binding. As soon as the minimum number of participants for a specific date has been reached, a binding confirmation is requested. A pre-registration is considered a binding commitment if a date has been set to meet the needs of the participant.

Venue
The venue for the event is a terraced house in Hamburg-Langenhorn (near the airport), which has been associated with astrology since 1969. Among other things, the house was the headquarters of the "Hamburg School Astrological Study Society" for several decades and is now dedicated to the "Astrol. Studienzentrum Hamburger Schule" (Hamburg School of Uranian Astrology). Over the past decades, this inconspicuous house has been visited by many well-known national and international guests. The proceeds from the course fees are mainly used to maintain this special place.

Course concept
The basic course teaches content that is often neglected in other teaching concepts. The course is therefore equally suitable for beginners and advanced students.

Exercise sheets are provided as PDF files to prepare for the course weekend. The content of the exercises is a prerequisite for participation, as important symbols, abbreviations, meanings and basic terms are practised here. An exercise glossary will be distributed for follow-up work on the course topics. By studying the glossary, the newly acquired knowledge can be permanently consolidated.

The aim of the course
The basis of astrology is initially of a scientific nature, which is then combined into an analogue approach. From an astrological point of view, astrology and astronomy are inextricably linked. Astronomical conditions and movements of the earth determine, for example, life on earth and are therefore the basis for various astrological techniques and approaches. Today's astrologers often have insufficient knowledge of the essential foundations of astrology, which can have fatal consequences for astrological work.

The aim of the course is to create a solid foundation that encourages independent, critical handling of the subject matter and provides a solid basis for successful study.
