Founding history
In 2015, on the 90th anniversary of the founding of the "Astrologenverein Hamburger Schule" (Hamburg School Astrologers' Association, 1925), 11 astrological friends came together to found a new society in order to revitalise the "Hamburger School" in an authentic form.
Michael Feist took over the chairmanship of the founding meeting and presented his concept for the local revitalisation of the Hamburg location. After the preliminary statutes met with general approval, he asked those present to jointly found a society in the tradition of the first "Hamburg School Astrologers' Association". The proposal received general approval without any need for discussion. The naming, on the other hand, gave rise to a debate and initially ended with a provisional name. (The current name "Astrologisches Studienzentrum Hamburger Schule" was decided on 22 November 2015).
A collegial board was then appointed by the founding meeting to represent the interests of the company in accordance with the Articles of Association. Brigitta Klose†, Bernd Singer† and Michael Feist were appointed to the board. Michael Feist was appointed Chairman from the ranks of the board. The Chairman then declared that the company was established and closed the meeting at 20h59'49 CET. The exact time was determined using a radio-controlled wristwatch. The coordinates were determined using GPS and rounded to full seconds: 10°01'33 "E; 53°39'11 "N.
The location of the meeting in Hamburg-Langenhorn was deliberately chosen because it was the home of Ludwig Rudolph, who was actively involved in the founding of the "Kepler Circle", the "Hamburg School Astrologers' Association" and the "Hamburg School Astrological Study Society". The latter, initiated by Ludwig Rudolph, was based at the same address from 1969-2002 - where the new society was also based.
The founding protocol and the provisional statutes were then signed by all the founders, who joined the new society as core members as defined in the statutes.
The preamble to the statutes clarifies the objectives of the society:
The society sees itself in the tradition of the "Astrologenverein Hamburger Schule", which was founded in Hamburg on 31 October 1925. The Society regards the astrology of the so-called "Hamburg School" as a special cultural asset related to Hamburg, which has achieved worldwide renown among experts. The aim of the society is to cultivate and further develop this tradition on a national and international level. The Hamburg location is of particular importance for this. In order to achieve these goals, teaching and information events are mainly held in Hamburg or their realisation is supported or promoted.
The society meets 6 times a year at irregular intervals. Guests are welcome by appointment. If you are interested in our events, we will be happy to add you to our mailing list.
